Course Purpose:
The focus of this course is an understanding of the historical narrative of God’s redemptive mission as revealed in the New Testament and how that story is told through various literary genres. Students will gain a vision for the story of God from the first advent of Jesus to the second advent of Jesus and will develop skills and competencies for reading the story in the various biblical contexts in which they are told in the New Testament (gospel, theological history, epistle, prophecy, apocalypse).
